Third Ward Boundaries: The Third Ward includes the area from the north side of 32nd Street to the City Line.

What have been your accomplishments as a City Council Member?

Some of my accomplishments have been helping save Bayonne Hospital; promoting smart development at MOTBY and citywide; revitalizing our city parks; and making decisions to balance the budget and lower the structural deficit.

What things would you still like to accomplish as a Council Member?

I would like to drastically decrease the structural deficit; promote smart development; help those in need; and add more law enforcement to help against crime and violence.

What do you like about being a Council Member?

I enjoy helping my constituents resolve issues and making decisions that affect our city in a positive way.

What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movies are The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption.

Do you have a favorite sports team?

My favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Do you have a favorite book?

The Bible.

Do you have a favorite color?

Blue is my favorite color.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memories are visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown; going to Florida with my Mom, Dad, and Brother; and playing Little League baseball.

Is there anything else that you would like to add to your biography that would help people to understand you personally?

I am a workaholic and I am self-employed. I have owned Gary La Pelusa Landscaping, LLC for almost 30 years.
