Interactive Program on Bayonne’s History and Heritage
Posted June 25, 2021Three Bayonne High School students and Social Studies teacher Kelly Sweeney worked on an interactive program about the histories of the Bayonne Public Library, the Elco Boatworks, and the Bayonne Bridge. Thanks to a grant from the Hudson County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs/Tourism Development, the project produced a small booklet, a website, and a QR code with information about the three sites. The website is https://sites.google.com/students.bboed.org/history-heritage-trail/home. Ms. Sweeney and her students presented copies of the local history booklet to Mayor Jimmy Davis.
