Bayonne Announces New Garbage & Recycling Schedule for 2021
Posted December 21, 2020

Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis announced that the City of Bayonne has adopted a new garbage and recycling schedule, effective January 2, 2021.
For purposes of garbage and recycling pick-ups, Bayonne will be divided into three zones: Zone 1 will run from 1st Street through 16th Street including Broadway. Zone 2 will run from 16th Street to 30th Street, including Broadway, Prospect Avenue, Avenue F, and Harbor Pointe (the former Alexan). Zone 3 will run from 30th Street to 63rd Street, including County Village (the development by the City Line, the Bayonne-Jersey City border), and all other thoroughfares between 30th and 31st Streets.
Zone 1: Clarification About Trembley Court and Country Village Court in New Garbage and Recycling Schedule
Two streets that intersect with 16th Street will be included in Zone 1 in the new garbage and recycling schedule. Country Village Court, which has a flipped “L” shape, runs north from West 16th Street and then turns west towards Newark Bay. Trembley Court runs for half a block north from East 16th Street. Both Trembley Court and Country Village Court will be included with Zone 1, because they intersect with 16th Street and do not connect with streets in the next zone.
Zone 2: Clarification About Prospect Avenue and Avenue F In New Garbage and Recycling Schedule
All of Prospect Avenue and all of Avenue F will be included in Zone 2 in the new garbage and recycling schedule. All of Avenue F and the portions of Prospect Avenue that run between 30th Street and 32nd Street will also will be included in Zone 2, due to their shared location with the rest of the streets in that area east of the railroad corridor.
