Ribbon-Cutting at the Fire Museum
Posted May 01, 2026Proud to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of the Chief John T. Brennan Fire Museum. The building began as the home of a volunteer fire company in 1875. This museum stands as a tribute to the rich history, tradition, and dedication of our firefighters throughout generations. The museum is named for John T. Brennan, who served as Fire Chief from 1960 to 1988. Located at 10 West 47th Street in Bayonne, the museum will be open every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (except holidays) for residents and visitors to explore. A heartfelt thank-you to all the firefighters, contractors, and partners whose hard work over many years made this possible. Special appreciation to former Mayor Davis, Mayor Kubert, and the Bayonne City Council for their unwavering support in bringing this project to life. The ceremony was attended by numerous current and retired firefighters, Bayonne officials, local residents, and members of Chief Brennan’s family.
