Kisses for Cadets/Midshipmen!
Posted January 09, 2026In 2026, the Division of Recreation held a community wide project - "Valentine's for Veterans!" This winter, we are excited to announce our new initiative for Valentine's Day - "Kisses for Cadets/Midshipmen!"
The Division of Recreation will be sending care packages of Hershey Kisses to Bayonne Cadets/Midshipmen!
THE GOAL: 10,000 Hershey Kisses
The Division of Recreation will separate and bag Hersey Kisses accordingly to all cadets/midshipmen.
We are excited to announce that COSTCO has donated 2,000 Hershey Kisses!

US Air Force
McKenzie Gibbons
US Naval Academy (Midshipmen)
Nicholas Smith
Marquis Agtarap
Joe Sisolak
McKenzie & Nicholas both graduated from Nicholas Oresko School & St. Peter's Prep.
Marquis is a graduate of Nicholas Oresko School and St. Benedict's Prep.
Joe is a graduate of All Saints Catholic Academy and Bayonne High School.
Not only will care packages of Hershey Kisses will be sent to our Bayonne Cadets/Midshipmen but will be sent to their fellow group/classes of cadets/midshipmen!

The Division of Recreation will hold a care package pep rally on February 7th at the Bayonne Museum, to bag all Hershey Kisses, from 10am to 11:30am.
Packages will be then mailed out on Monday, February 9th, 2026. We want all cadets will receive their packages by Valentine's Day.
For those interested in donating Hershey Kisses, may do so by:
delivering to the Division of Recreation in City Hall, located at 630 Avenue C, between 9am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, by Friday, February 6th or the Bayonne Museum on February 7th.
All Hershey Kisses must be plain chocolate, and all bags must be sealed.
