Street-sweeping and alternate side parking: Suspended Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25; Wednesday, December 31, and Thursday, January 1.
Note: Street-sweeping and alternate side parking are often suspended in winter anyway, due to snow and ice on the streets.

Parking permit zone enforcement: Suspended on Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25; Wednesday, December 31; and Thursday, January 1.

On-street parking meters: Enforcement suspended on Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25; Wednesday, December 31; and Thursday, January 1.
On-street parking meters will be enforced the other days of the week that they are normally in effect, unless snow and ice make it impractical.

Free parking for four hours in Parking Utility lots: Will be in effect for non-commercial vehicles for the month of December. Total enforcement of pay stations at Parking Utility lots for non-commercial vehicles will resume on Monday January 5. Pay station enforcement will be suspended completely for all vehicles on December 24, 25, and 31, and on January 1.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR GARBAGE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION FOR ZONES 1, 2 AND 3

The Garbage Schedule for Christmas Eve-Wednesday, December 24, is as follows:

Zone 1- Garbage will be collected on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, December 24 and New Year’s Eve, Wednesday December 31.
That’s 1st STREET TO 16th STREET INCLUDING BROADWAY (1st to 16th Streets), TREMBLEY CT & COUNTRY VILLAGE CT

***Zone 2 – There will be no recycling collection on Christmas Eve Wednesday, December 24, and New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31.
That’s 16th STREET TO 32nd STREET INCLUDING BROADWAY (16th to 32nd Streets), PROSPECT AVE (19th to 32nd Streets), AVE F, WEST DR, EAST CT, & CENTRE LANE

***ZONE 2 GARBAGE - THERE WILL BE NO GARBAGE COLLECTION IN ZONE 2 ON CHRISTMAS DAY, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25.

***ZONE 3 RECYCLING – THERE WILL BE NO RECYCLING COLLECTION IN ZONE 3 ON CHRSTMAS DAY, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 25, AND NEW YEAR’S DAY JANUARY 1.

ZONE 3 – Garbage will be collected on Friday, December 26, and Friday, January 2, 2026.
