Division of Recreation Special Needs Soccer Academy to Kick Off SEASON 10 - Saturday, October 4th!
Posted September 10, 2025The Division of Recreation has begun registration for the 4-Week Special Needs Soccer Academy.
The Special Needs Soccer Academy, open to Bayonne residents, boys and girls, ages 3 to Adult, is a program for mentally and physically challenged youth and will provide individualized attention to develop skills and fitness, and to emphasize the fun aspects of soccer.
The program is designed to provide an enjoyable time of soccer for with a range of skill levels.
A unique feature of the program is its use of athletes from the Bayonne High School Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity and JV Soccer teams. BHS players will be on hand to help assist the players in the academy. Youth soccer coaches will also be part of the program to assist.
The Special Needs Soccer Academy will meet:
- Saturday, October 4th, 2025
- Sunday, October 12th, 2025
- Saturday, October 18th, 2025
- Saturday, October 25th, 2025
Times:
- Grades Pre-K to 4th
10:30am to 11:15am
- Grades 5th to Adult
11:30am to 12:15pm
The Academy will meet at the Field of Dreams at 11th Street.
There is no fee to participate.
