Bayonne Fire Department Holds Promotional Ceremony

Recently, the Bayonne Fire Department held a promotional ceremony for nine firefighters. Those with new ranks are Deputy Chief Francis Pawlowski, Battalion Chief Kenneth Jaros, and Captains Vincent Bottino, Ricardo Joynt, Robert Wasielewski, Michael Monczewski, Joshua Lipinski-McHale, Willmark Munoz, and Vincent Oszmanski.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Jimmy Davis said it was “a great day” for the promoted firefighters and their families. He noted that the move to higher ranks involved doing a lot of study and missing family events. Mayor Davis congratulated the promoted firefighters and welcomed the new captains as first line supervisors.
Public Safety Director Rober Kubert said that the promoted class has shown their “excellence, diligence, and dedication on the street.” He added there was “no doubt” that they would “continue in an exemplary fashion.” Director Kubert thanked Mayor Davis’s Administration and the City Council for their support of the Public Safety Department.
