The Division of Recreation is now offering Special Needs Open Swim at the Thomas DiDomenico Pool at 16th Street Park.

Special Needs Open Swim will take place every Saturday, from 9:30am to 10:30am, weather permitting.

Membership is limited to special needs individuals and their families ONLY. Anyone of any age who has an IEP, diagnosis by a doctor, or is receiving special needs services is eligible to become a member. Anyone who participates in the Division of Recreation’s Special Needs Sports Program, Special Needs Soccer Academy, and/or Buddy Baseball is eligible.

** Parent/Guardians must accompany their child at all times.

** Please note: Special Needs Open Swim is not swim lessons.

Membership is FREE and members must be registered with the City of Bayonne. Once they arrive at the facility, Recreation Pool Staff will check-in individuals and their families.

Special Needs Open Swim will begin Saturday, June 21st and run through Saturday, August 30th, 2025.
