The inaugural Bayonne Italian Heritage Parade will take place on Sunday 20 October. Sponsored by the Bayonne Heritage Association, it will commence at 1:00 p.m. from Woodrow Wilson School (56th Street), travel south on Avenue C and end at the park entrance of Avenue C and Lagoon Drive (Masonic Lodge).

After a review and a site inspection by the Bayonne Police Traffic Unit this Police Permit is authorized by Chief of Police Robert Geisler.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. Emergency 'No-Parking' regulations posted along the parade route will be enforced.

Temporary parking for displaced residents will be provided at:
Washington School
Horace Mann school
BCB lot at Broadway and 40th Street

At 11:00 a.m., in accordance with the following descriptions, a hardened closure of the Staging Zone and Review Zone will begin.
A reviewing stand will be established in the northbound lane of Avenue C just north of 40th Street. The parade will disband on Lagoon Drive.

Parade participants will stage in the following manner:
Avenue C between 57th and 56th Streets- Vehicles and Floats
56th Street between Avenue and Avenue B- Pedestrians

Closures will occur at:

Avenue C south at 57th Street- One (1) 'Road Closed Local Traffic Only' sign and four (4) barricades
56th St. at Avenue B - One (1) 'Road Closed' sign and two (2) barricades plus one (1) Police Truck
Avenue C at 56th Street, southbound - One (1) 'Road Closed' sign and four (4) barricades plus one (1) Fire Truck
Lagoon Drive at Avenue B- One (1) 'Road Closed' sign and three (3) barricades plus one  (1) Fire Truck (from 56th St. at Avenue C)
Avenue C north at 40th Street- One (1) Police Command Center  plus one (1) 'Road Closed' sign and four (4) barricades
Avenue C north at 39th St.- One (1) 'Road Closed' sign and four (4) barricades
41st Street at Avenue B- One (1) 'Road Closed' sign and two (2) barricades
Intersections along the parade route will be posted by Crossing Guards.

1:00 PM- Parade begins

The Traffic Unit will post the following Emergency No Parking restrictions on Friday 17 October:
