Family Fun at DiDomenico-16th St. Park Set for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6
Posted July 30, 2024Mayor Jimmy Davis and Police Chief Robert Geisler announced that Bayonne will participate in the 41st annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The event will feature light refreshments and musical entertainment on the lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park. The event is being organized by the Bayonne Police Department. National Night Out is a nationwide event that is designed to bring communities and police departments together for the fight against crime.
Mayor Davis said, “National Night Out is a great event that promotes safer cities and police-community partnerships across the country. I would like to invite the people of Bayonne to join with the Bayonne Police Department and other agencies on National Night Out, and to work with our police for public safety throughout the year.”
Police Chief Robert Geisler said, “National Night Out presents a great opportunity for the members of the Bayonne Police Department to continue to establish and strengthen relationships with our community members. The Bayonne Police Department prides itself on providing the highest levels of service. We are excited for the opportunity to interact once again with our community members and other public safety agencies during National Night Out on August 6, 2024. “
Participating agencies and businesses include the Bayonne Police Department, the Bayonne Fire Department, the Hudson Couty Sherif’s Department, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, McCabe Ambulance, the IMTT Fire Department, and the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
Other organizations will distribute information at tables at the event.
National Night Out in Bayonne will feature free light refreshments, music by a DJ and a band, and displays from public safety and law enforcement agencies. Trucks from the Bayonne Fire Department and IMTT will be on display. No goods or services are allowed to be sold at National Night Out.
Local sponsors of National Night Out include Shop-Rite, Tropicana Products, and the Bayonne Housing Authority.
Please note that there is no rain date for National Night Out.
