Division of Recreation, along with RECK, the Official Mascot, and in conjunction with MARK SPORTSWEAR, to Contribute to Home For Good Dog Rescue!

Mark Sportswear Screen Printing & Embroidery, a Bayonne Business, will be donating an online store to the Division of Recreation which will include T-shirts and hoodies featuring our mascot, RECK. Proceeds from sales will go directly to Home for Good Dog Rescue.

The Division of Recreation would like to give a very special thank you to Alex Rodriguez and Mark Sportswear for working with the City for a very important and beneficial project!

Home for Good Dog Rescue (HFGDR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Berkeley Heights, NJ. They rescue dogs from high-kill shelters in the South, transport them to their rescue, and give them a second chance at life. As a uniquely 100-percent foster-based rescue, they place each dog into a loving foster home until adoption, and since their inception, they have rescued over 12,000 dogs and given them loving homes for good.

Home for Good Dog Rescue has participated in the Bayonne Home Town Fair and we love the Bayonne connection!

• Mark Sportswear will host this project, collect sales, and directly present a donation to the Home 4 Good Dog Rescue.
   
• The City of Bayonne & Division of Recreation, along with their employees and volunteers, will not accept, collect, or donate payments from this project.
   
• The online store will be available beginning on Wednesday, April 17th. A link will be provided on the 17th. All pricing will be announced on the 17th.

Mark Sportswear Screen Printing was founded in 1998 by Dominick Landante. Dominick quickly became the one of the premier screen printing and embroidery shops in Hudson County, NJ. High quality at affordable prices made him gain many top high-profile clients including local Boards of Education, scores of youth athletic leagues, and major corporations throughout the NJ / NY area. Throughout the next decade, Mark Sportswear’s presence and impact continued to grow. Dominick, a dedicated family man, also knew giving back to the community was important. The shop sponsored several baseball and soccer youth teams throughout the years in the northern NJ area.

Alex Rodriguez met Dominick in the mid 2000’s. They quickly formed a strong working relationship. Unfortunately, several years later, Dominick faced some challenging health issues. The community lost a great man in 2017. After the loss, Alex continued with the business and with the standing traditions of giving back to the community. This outreach has expanded into charitable organizations such as local soup kitchens and the American Cancer Society.
