The Division of Recreation is thrilled to announce a "Senior" Basketball Practice & Game for senior citizens, on December 2nd, 2023 at the BHS Ice Rink Gym, at 2:00pm.

Seniors, age 62 and older, are invited to participate!

Players will get great exercise with the game of basketball! Specific basketball drills, concentrating on muscles and movement, will be demonstrated and players will receive a great workout!

Players will then participate in a 1/2 court friendly game, showcasing their athletic ability!

Rims will be lowered to 8ft.

Players will receive a basketball jersey and basketball headbands!

“We cannot wait to see our athletes on December 2nd! Basketball is a great game that provides great exercise! It’s going to be a great day to work out and most importantly, be with one another.” Stated Pete Amadeo, Superintendent of Recreation.

Members of the Division of Recreation 56th Street Senior Center are ready to play!

Members of the senior center can register with Ralph Savo at the center 329 Avenue B, or call the center at 201-437-5996.
