UEZ Coordinator Jacqueline Farber said, “This festival is a wonderful event that brings attention to so many great businesses in Bergen Point and puts smiles on the faces of our attendees.” Ms. Farber continued, “Our goal is to make this event bigger and better each year.”
This annual festival of family fun takes place in the Bergen Point area located from 5th Street to Cottage Street on Broadway. This event is close to the Bayonne Bridge, making it convenient for visitors from Staten Island. Residents of Staten Island are invited to walk or ride their bikes over the Bayonne Bridge to the festival. The event also provides new Bayonne residents the opportunity to experience fun times in our hometown and a chance to get to know our local merchants.
Registration for the dog costume contest starts at 11:15 a.m. at the Cottage Street stage. The contest will take place at 12:45 p.m. Bring your dogs in their favorite costume. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners. There will be three trophies. The sponsors of the dog costume contest are our local animal clinics and hospitals.
A new addition to the 2023 festival is a dog adoption event. Home for Good Rescue will be on hand with puppies looking for families to adopt them.
The festival will feature shopping opportunities by the Bergen Point merchants and special vendors.
