Posted September 05, 2023
Division of Recreation Special Needs Sports Program to team up with "Special Dragons," a Karate Program specifically designed for children and young adults with special needs.

Special Dragons was founded in 2012 by George Bostory, a certified special education teacher and three time intercollegiate black belt karate champion. It was formed due to the lack of physical sport activities available to children with special needs. George envisioned combining his special-education background with his martial arts  experience, and Special Dragons Karate was born.

The Ability Day Program will meet September 19th for their 1st class of the year.

”We are excited to team up with George & Special Dragons! We had a great experience last year and are happy to provide this great opportunity!" stated Pete Amadeo, Superintendent of Recreation.

There is no cost to participate.
