FILM PRODUCTION ADVISORY FOR WEEK OF MAY 22, 2023

On Monday, May 22, 2023,  Nonnas Productions, Inc. is filming an independent movie entitled Nonnas. Based on a true story, Nonnas is about a man who struggled to open what would be a well-known Italian restaurant, with Grandmother chefs, in Staten Island. The film is directed by Stephen Chbosky (Dear Evan Hanson, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wonder) and stars Vince Vaughn (The Break-Up, Wedding Crashers, True Detective). 

Filming will occur at 30 West 36th Street and Judicke's Bakery at Broadway and West 34th Street. 

Total Cast and Crew: 60
Total Trucks and Vans: 15

Filming will occur both within the businesses and on the street. Staging will take place in the public right-of-way.  All equipment and personnel will be set up and operated in a manner that permits the safe and legal passage of the public. 

Police Officers will be posted to enhance security and conduct traffic control.

5 AM - 7 AM - Early crew arrives in front of 19 W 36th St and starts placing set dressing
7 AM - 11 AM - Film on W 36th St
11 AM - 8 PM - Film interior/exterior Judickes Bakery
8 PM - 10 PM - Load trucks/campers and leave basecamp lot

Nonnas Productions, Inc. has a pending agreement with Bayonne Department of Public Works to utilize the lower parking lot of G. Thomas DiDomenico-16th Street Park as a Base Camp and to park crew vehicles, from 6:00 a.m., May 22, to midnight, May 25. Material and personnel will be shuttled from this staging area to the filming locations. Public parking during this time is prohibited.

Cranes and other lift devices will be on site.

No explosives or weapons will be utilized. Special effects are limited to theatrical smoke within Judicke's Bakery. No noise beyond the limits of the City ordinance will be generated.

Nonnas Productions, Inc. will provide onsite medical services and follow all Covid Protocols. A Covid Compliance Officer will be on set. All crew members will have identification clearly displayed.

The posting of Emergency 'No Parking' signs is authorized. Please pay careful attention to these areas for those posted signs.

Area residents and businesses will be notified by Nonnas Productions, Inc. of this production as per the terms set in their filming permit.
