- To manage on-airport parking demand, the Port Authority is urgently calling on air travelers to pre-book parking spaces if they plan to travel to the agency’s airports by private car. Travelers who do not pre-book will be charged a summer peak period surcharge. Click here for more information.
- John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Green Garage and AirTrain JFK’s Terminal 2 station have closed for demolition activities associated with the construction of JFK’s new Terminal One. AirTrain JFK service to Terminal 2 has been discontinued. The Green Garage exit remains open for two additional weeks to allow motorists who parked before July 11 to exit the garage prior to the start of demolition activities.
- For access to Terminal 2 via AirTrain, customers should use the Terminal 1 station. Customers should follow signage for access to and from Terminal 1 station along a covered walkway between terminals 1 and 2 on the arrivals level. Service to all other airport terminals is not affected on the Howard Beach and Jamaica lines.
- Motorists going to terminals 1 or 2 who wish to park should use the Red Garage, which is adjacent to Terminal 8. Signage and personnel will direct those motorists who parked at the Red Garage on how to access terminals 1 and 2 via AirTrain JFK.
PATH
- On Sunday, July 24, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., train service will be suspended between the Harrison and Journal Square stations due to flood mitigation tests at Harrison Station. For service between Newark Penn Station and New York City, NJ TRANSIT will cross-honor customers with train service to/from New York Penn Station. For service between Newark and Journal Square, NJ TRANSIT will cross-honor customers with bus service between Newark Penn Station and Journal Square via the No. 1 bus, located on eastbound Market Street. During construction, riders are required to use traffic signal pedestrian crossings at Angelo Cifelli Drive and Guyon Drive to access a corresponding station house on the opposite side of Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard.
- Customers who use the WTC PATH station during overnights should use the street level entrances at Fulton Street or Vesey Street via the North Concourse in the 2 World Trade Center Transit Lobby. Oculus access is limited overnight from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for enhanced cleaning and the safety and security of customers due to reduced traffic volumes. All other entrances will be closed.
