- There shall be no audio or video recording without prior written approval as required by Directive #06-24. Any individual seeking to record must make a request to the court in advance, by submitting a Request for Permission to Photograph, Electronically Record or Broadcast a Court Proceeding form. This can be found here.
If your ticket is payable, but you wish to dispute it you may request a court date. Contact the court or email us at court@baynj.org. To avoid a court appearance, you may also see if your ticket is eligible for the Online Municipal Case Resolution.
The public now has two options to resolve their matters without having to appear in court.
- Request a plea offer from prosecutor
This method allows you to dispute specific moving violations where defendants commonly provide additional documentation to seek a reduced charge or points before pleading guilty. Your case will be reviewed by the prosecutor, and you will be notified with their recommendation.
- Plea Online
This is the electronic version of the Plea by Mail form which allows defendants or attorneys to electronically submit a plea of guilty or not guilty to certain offenses. This form can only be used in certain traffic (including parking) cases or to plead guilty in certain non-traffic cases. This method is not for seeking a reduced charge or to dispute points. Make sure to upload any supporting documents you want the Judge to review.
