Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for financial issues pertinent to the City of Bayonne such as property tax assessments, property tax collection, purchasing of goods and services for the City and the budget process.

The following divisions fall under the Department of Finance: Division of Accounts and Control, Division of Treasury, Division of Purchasing, Tax Collection, and Tax Assessment.

The City of Bayonne operates on a calendar year running from January 1st to December 31st.
