What does that mean for your business?

A business that participates in the UEZ program can access several financial programs designed to stimulate job creation and business growth, and offer eligible businesses a reduced sales tax on certain retail items.

The Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) works to promote businesses within the district by:

• Helping to generate new, permanent jobs for local residents
• Providing a secure and attractive environment throughout the zone
• Providing access and opportunities for loans and grants available to small businesses
• Enhancing access to an appropriately trained and identified local labor pool
• Encouraging the use of local businesses in the supply of goods and services among zone members
• Promoting equal opportunity for minority groups as business owners/operators within the zone
