Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has signed a letter agreement
with the Bayonne Local Redevelopment Authority (BLRA)
to construct and operate a new cruise port facility at
the Peninsula at Bayonne harbor located in Bayonne,
N.J. The new facility will serve as a seasonal
homeport to two Royal Caribbean International ships,
including one of the world's largest cruise ships, the
3,114-passenger Voyager of the Seas, which makes her
New York metro area debut in May 2004.
Just 15 minutes from the
Newark airport and right off the New Jersey Turnpike,
Cape Liberty Cruise Port is a convenient departure
point for both drive-market guests and those arriving
by air.
Below are some frequently asked
questions and answers regarding the Royal Caribbean
International cruises departing from the Cape Liberty
Cruise Port. The information below is

Q. What are the driving and
public transportation directions to the port?
Driving Directions
From
N.J. Turnpike (North or South)
- Exit NJ Turnpike at Exit 14 A
- Follow signs at exit for 440 South
- Continue driving on 440 South
- Make left into Cape Liberty Terminal Boulevard
From
Long Island
- Take the Belt Parkway west toward the Verrazano
Bridge
- Cross the Verrazano Bridge and continue on I-278
west toward Staten Island/New Jersey
- Merge onto NY-440 North Exit #9 toward Bayonne
Bridge
- Cross Bayonne Bridge and continue on 440 North
Make right into Cape Liberty Terminal (Peninsula at

Transportation
By Train
Take the PATH train from either the
33rd Street line or the World Trade center line in
Manhattan to Jersey City. Outside the Pavonia
Newport or Exchange Place PATH Station in Jersey
City, get on the Light Rail train to Bayonne.
Get off at the 34th Street Station in Bayonne.
You are now right across Route 440 from the
Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, which includes the Cape
Liberty cruise port. Call one of the the three
Bayonne
cab companies to drive you to the cruise port,
which is about two miles east of the Light Rail
line.
By Bus
Another transit option is taking the
99S bus to Bayonne from the Port Authority bus
terminal to Kennedy Boulevard, and then calling a
cab by cell phone once you have arrived in Bayonne.
The 99S bus will stop on request every three
blocks. When you reach 33rd Street and the
Boulevard, you will be at the closest point on the
Boulevard to the cruise port. Yellow Cab lists taxi
stands at 22nd Street and the Boulevard and 32nd
Street and the Boulevard, or you can call one of the
the three
Bayonne
cab companies to drive you to the cruise port,
which is about two miles east of the Light Rail

Is there parking at the port,
and if so what is the cost?
A.
The guests parking
facility will be located adjacent to the cruise
terminal and the cost for parking will be $19 per day.
Acceptable forms of payment are credit cards and cash.
No checks are accepted. The
on-site parking facility is secured and will be large
enough to accommodate all guests who choose to park
their cars at the pier.
