Engine Company 3 is located in the center of Bayonne at 27th Street and Avenue C and is quartered with Tower Ladder 2.
Engine Co. 3 responds from 16th Street up to 42nd Street.
Engine Co. 3 is the busiest engine company in the city. Engine Co. 3 is assigned to almost every box in the city as either first, second, or third due.
Engine Co. 3 is part of the Special Operations Response Team and all of its members are Hazardous Materials Technicians and Confined Space Rescuer Technicians. The members are also trained for high angle incidents, building collapse and other areas of technical rescue.
Engine Co. 3 is also a Certified First Responder-Defibrillator(CFR-D) engine.
A captain, 3 lieutenants, and 16 firefighters are presently assigned to this company.
