Mayor Jimmy Davis and Library Director JP Porcaro are pleased to announce that the Bayonne Free Public Library will be having a special astronomy program for children on Tuesday, July 30, at 1:00 p.m., in the gallery, on the second floor of the library.

Look Up to the Stars will be hosting the program, “Astronomy for Everyone.”  Astronomer Kevin Manning, a former consultant with NASA, has always been passionate about astronomy, and wants to share the excitement with you.  During his 90-minute presentation, the audience will learn about the size and scale of the universe, the stars, and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and assorted visuals.

This program will be open to children ages 7 and up.  Registration for the program will take place in the Children’s Room during the week of Monday, July 15, through Friday, July 19.

The library is located at 31st Street and Avenue C.
