BEOF Distributes 1,500 Women’s Sweaters, Credits Council Member Greaves and Jennifer Greaves

Mayor Mark A. Smith announced that the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation (BEOF) distributed 1,500 women’s sweaters to mothers of Head Start students and BEOF clients in need.  BEOF Executive Director Ana Quintela gave special thanks to Third Ward Council Member Ray Greaves and his sister-in-law, Jennifer Greaves, for obtaining the donated sweaters for Bayonne residents.  Jennifer Greaves works in the retail industry.  Ms. Quintela said, “The BEOF would like to thank Ray and Jennifer Greaves for seeing people in need in our community, and taking action to help them.  The BEOF would also like to thank the generous corporate donors who made the sweater distribution possible.”  The donors wish to remain anonymous.

The BEOF is Bayonne’s community action agency.  The BEOF administers such programs as homelessness prevention, senior nutrition, Head Start, energy assistance, home improvement, and a food bank.  BEOF programs have enabled many people to improve their quality of life and to enjoy dignity in their older years. The Head Start Program offers pre-Kindergarten education.
