Street Closings Due to Bayonne Bridge Construction

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has advised the City of Bayonne of several street closings that are related to Bayonne Bridge construction.

No parking will be allowed on Margaret Street. Vehicles will be able to enter from Kennedy Boulevard and exit back onto it. This situation will be in effect for two years, until a time to be announced by the Port Authority in 2015.

Beginning Thursday, December 19, on Juliette Street, the portion of the street under the Bayonne Bridge will be closed, due to construction. Vehicles will be able to enter Juliette Street from Kennedy Boulevard and Avenue A for local access only. No through traffic will be allowed. According to the Port Authority, this situation will be in effect for three weeks.

On Thursday, December 12, the southern sidewalk and a portion of West 3rd Street will be closed. The street will be open, and both traffic lanes will be moved to the north side of the street. According to the Port Authority, this traffic pattern will be in effect for two years, until some point to be announced in 2015.
