Mayor Mark A. Smith and the Art Circle of Bayonne announced that the opening reception for the December art show and sale will take place at the Bayonne Community Museum on Saturday, December 14, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Approximately fifty artists are expected to participate in the show. They will be exhibiting a variety of two-dimensional works. This will be the fifth show that the Art Circle has sponsored at the museum since September 2012. All participating artists at the event are members of the Art Circle of Bayonne, a local, non-profit organization that promotes the fine arts in the community.
The museum will be open to the public again for the art show on the following weekdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.: Monday, December 16; Tuesday, December 17; Wednesday, December 18; and Thursday, December 19.
The closing reception for the art show will take place on Friday, December 20, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The Bayonne Community Museum is located at 229 Broadway, at the northwest corner of 9th Street. The building is owned by the City of Bayonne. During the last two years, it has become a venue for art exhibits, concerts, award programs, meetings, and other community events.
