Mayor Mark A. Smith announced that the City of Bayonne’s Summer Sounds by the Bay free concert series will take place on Wednesdays through August 21, weather permitting. The concert site is the amphitheater on the lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park. Each concert will start at 7:00 p.m., with the exception of the show on August 21, which will start at 6:30 p.m. Audience members are asked to bring their own chairs.
Mayor Smith would like to thank BCB Community Bank, Kenrich Chemicals, Ken’s Marine, Inserra Shop-Rite, and the Bayonne UEZ for sponsoring the concert series. The City would welcome additional sponsors for Summer Sounds 2013 and future special events.
The first concert set for Wednesday, July 3, is scheduled to feature John Christian and Soiree, playing the best of American popular music from the 1940’s to today.
All Summer Sounds concerts will take place as the weather may permit.

July 10 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Cameos: It’s Doo Wop at its best as The Cameos reprise the greatest hits of the
1950’s and early 1960’s in a totally entertaining, talent-filled show.
You’ll know every tune and happily sing along with New Jersey’s top Oldies
July 17 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The British Invaders: Paul Revere rides again as The British Invaders return with Great Britain’s blue collar spin on Rock and Roll that changed the course of Pop Music in
the mid 60’s. From The Beatles to The Stones to the Dave Clark 5, you’ll be
shaking your mop top singing “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!”
July 24 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Flying Mueller Brothers: Hold on to your seats as The Flying Mueller Brothers present a musical tour de force guaranteed to rattle your world all night long. Beginning with the show’s surprise opening and all through out the night, you’ll think you are
at a three ring circus filled with raucous, rollicking, rousing rock and
July 31 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Vito Piccone and the Elegants: Vito Piccone and the Elegants bring their #1 hit “Little Star” to this year’s Summer Sounds. With Vito, Nino, Jimmy and Sonny singing, there’s no way this isn’t going to be a great show. By the way, look for Vito in his
cameo roll in the blockbuster mob movie “Goodfellas”. (Hint: Tommy comes
back to the bar for Billy Batts)
August 7 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Larry Chance and the Earls: “I Believe” you will “Remember Then,” when Pop Music Royalty Larry Chance and The Earls perform their hits recreating a magical time in American musical history. From start to finish you will experience the unforgettable
talent of legendary vocalist and entertainer Larry Chance, whose place among
the all time greats of rock and roll is unquestioned.
August 14 – 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
1910 Fruitgum Company: Don’t forget your bubblegum as the iconic 1910 Fruitgum Company play their hits including “Simon Says” and “1, 2, 3 Red Light” in a show packed with Pop Classics. You will be smiling with pleasant surprises as you listen to
the great tunes that moved 60’s sounds into the early 70’s, as this
memorable show covers the top bands of the era.
August 21 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Bayonne Senior Orchestra; The Mahoney Brothers: It’s two for one night as your very own Bayonne Senior Orchestra opens the
evening with a nostalgic set of sing a longs and classics followed by The
Mahoney Brothers and their tribute to The King, Elvis Presley. You’ll be
reluctant to fold your chair when you hear New Jersey’s #1 show band
recreate the life, times and music of Rock and Roll’s first and foremost
