BEOF to Host Community Christmas Day Dinner With Support of BCB Bank, City Council, and Little Food Café

Ana Quintela, Executive Director of the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation (BEOF), announced that the BEOF will host a community Christmas Day dinner at 535 Avenue A (Back Bay Gardens), on Tuesday, December 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meal will be catered by the Little Food Café, thanks to the financial sponsorship of BCB Community Bank and the five members of the Bayonne City Council: Council President Terry Ruane, Council Member At-Large Debby Czerwienski, First Ward Council Member Agnes Gillespie, Second Ward Council Member Joe Hurley, and Third Ward Council Member Ray Greaves.

BEOF Executive Director Quintela said the dinner is for those Bayonne individuals and families who do not have anywhere to go for the holiday. Tickets are required for this dinner, so that the organizers can provide the appropriate amount of food. They are available at 555 Kennedy Boulevard (the BEOF’s main office), the nutrition program at 535 Avenue A, and the nutrition program at 16 West 4th Street.

There is no charge for the tickets. Dinners will also be available through the BEOF’s Meals on Wheels program.

Mayor Mark Smith said, “I would like to thank the BEOF, Little Food Café, BCB Community Bank, and the five members of the Bayonne City Council for joining together for this event. This dinner is a sign of Bayonne’s generosity in this holiday season.” He continued, “All residents should be proud of what the BEOF, the bank, the City Council, and the café are doing to help those in need at this festive time of year.” City Council President Terry Ruane said, “This special dinner is a team effort by the BEOF, the Little Food Café, the BCB Community Bank, and all of us on the City Council. In the true spirit of the holiday, we are very happy to work together to provide this meal to people on Christmas Day.”
